Honey Glazed Pork Tenderloin
Glazed pork goodness
Grill and glaze
- 1 pork tenderloin, approx 2 lbs.
- salt and pepper to taste
- 4 tbsp. honey
- 1 tbsp. white wine
- 4 tbsp. orange juice
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
Preheat the grill to high, about 475°F and season the pork with salt and pepper to taste.
In a saucepan, add the honey, white wine, orange juice, and olive oil, heat gently, stirring constantly until it is well blended. To ensure that you have a little bit of a thicker mixture, allow the honey mixture to come to a simmer before removing it from the heat.
Oil your grids using cooking oil on a wad of paper towels and a set of tongs to brush the area that is being used to cook. Place your loin over the oiled area and sear on all sides. Turn down the grill and cook at medium heat – around 350°F - for 15 minutes.
After cooking for 15 minutes or so, begin to baste the pork on all sides with your honey mixture. Do this every couple of minutes until the pork is cooked through to an internal temperature of 150°F.
Serve hot and drizzled with any remaining glaze. Don't forget your favorite veggies. I particularly enjoy sweet potatoes with my pork.
