Dublin Coddle

Bangers, potatoes, bacon, and onion make a marvelous meal

Posted on March 14, 2017
Not quite a stew, not quite a soup, but filled with delicious sausage, bacon, and potatoes; Dublin Coddle is savory and delightful. Serve this with a fresh loaf of Irish Soda Bread to soak up the scrumptious juices and you have a perfect Irish-inspired meal, ideal for celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. Did I mention that this recipe is super easy too?

Chicken Noodle Soup

Chicken Noodle Soup

On The Grill

Posted on February 08, 2017
I’m definitely on a soup kick; but can you blame me? It’s cold and flu season, and I have cooked plethora of roasted poultry. This Chicken Noodle Soup On The Grill is super easy. Overnight stock means that you can bring the soup together for a meal in about 45 minutes. What’s better than homemade chicken noodle soup on a chilly day or when you’re feeling under the weather? I can hear you all right now, “But Andrea, you can’t make soup on a grill,”. Well, you can, sort of. Watch me.

Bratwurst Dinner

Bratwurst Dinner

with Beer & Onion Gravy

Posted on August 10, 2016
My husband and I spent nearly a month living with my grandparents while we had some work done on our house. During that time we were very fortunate to have amazing meals prepared for us every night. One of my favorites was Bangers and Mash. I was remembering Bangers and Mash with fondness when I saw National Bratwurst Day is on the 16th of August. Inspired, I procured some brats and cooked them down in German beer. Then I used that beer to make gravy and added some caramelized onions. Thus Bratwurst with Beer & Onion Gravy was born; a German variation on a traditionally British dish. I have to say, it was really good.
