Beef Wellington Revisited

Beef Wellington Revisited

with Caramelized Onion and Goat Cheese

Posted on December 21, 2016
Over the last sixteen months, I’ve tackled, successfully grilled, and shared some dishes that I have never had the courage to make before. The original Beef Wellington recipe, inspired by Gordon Ramsey’s own recipe, was a huge success. Beef Wellington with Caramelized Onion and Goat Cheese is a Wellington recipe revisited. Instead of mushrooms duxelles, this time we have savory herb filled goat cheese and caramelized onions. If you loved Wellington before, you’re going to love this updated version even more!

Smoked Honey

Smoked Honey

What all the buzz is about

Posted on September 08, 2016
Smoked Honey is great for adding that smoky flavor to barbecue sauce and glazing hams or ribs. Smoked honey is far better than using, *shudder*, liquid smoke to create that lovely smoky taste you want. Tea Marinated Pork Loin Roast

Tea Marinated Pork Loin Roast

with White Nectarines

Posted on August 05, 2016

In the height of summer I am always looking for ways to take my favorite savory dishes and make them feel more seasonal. Sweet, once again, sends pork to a new level of flavor heaven in this recipe This Tea Marinated Pork Loin Roast with White Nectarines takes the spirit of summer and infuses it into an exquisite roast. The best part about this whole thing was that I set the marinade, which looks so pretty, and left for the day to help a friend move. When I came home, I just threw the pork onto a preheated grill for 45 minutes and dinner was pretty much ready.

Strawberry Stuffed Brownies

Strawberry Stuffed Brownies

in Mini Cast Iron Skillets

Posted on July 27, 2016
I may be on some sort of brownie kick. Does two brownie recipes in 3 months constitute a kick? Anyway, I made these Strawberry Stuffed Brownies in Mini Cast Iron Skillets because I had just made fresh strawberry jam. Somehow this very precise jam recipe made extra on our last batch and we ran out of jars. I just had to use it for something super special, my homemade strawberry jam deserves it. So what goes better with strawberries than chocolate? NOTHING!

Sweet Heat Roasted Squash Seeds

Sweet Heat Roasted Squash Seeds

Great Tasting Source Of Protein

Posted on November 25, 2014
Sweet Heat Roasted Squash Seeds are a fantastic source of meatless protein, they go great as a snack on their own, or you can toss them into your favorite trail mix or granola for some added umph. I was making Butternut Squash and Curry Soup and had all these seeds. It felt so wrong to just throw them away, so I decided that I needed to make something with them. I just rummaged through the spice rack and grabbed what sounded like it would go best.

You have to try this Marinated Pork Tenderloin With Roasted Broccoli. It is very tasty, and super easy to make. Just toss the ingredients together and let them steep in the fridge for a few hours. When you are ready for dinner, you throw it on the grill and it's basically done.
