Sous Vide Ribs

Sous Vide Ribs

With Cider BBQ Sauce

Posted on March 29, 2017
Before I started using the Joule by ChefSteps, I thought that smoking was one of the better ways to prepare ribs, followed shortly by braising. Sous Vide Ribs With Cider BBQ Sauce changed my mind on that one for sure! It’s easy, the ribs come out succulent, looking beautiful, and you can add as much or as little smoke as you want.

Cider Brined Pork

Cider Brined Pork

With Cider Sauce

Posted on November 04, 2015
I was going to throw my pork tenderloin into the crock pot and have some Slow Cooked Sake Pork. However my loving husband wrapped the loin straight instead of curled around itself and it wouldn't fit into the crock pot! Needless to say we had something else for dinner that night, but I did come up with a nifty recipe to have the next night!

Like I mentioned in my Cider Donut recipe, we're obsessed with Angry Orchard Cider right now. So while rifling about in the fridge for something I could do to my tenderloin to make it tastier, my eyes alighted on the Angry Orchard Cider I had. Thus Cider Brined Pork was devised.

Mulled Autumn Sangria

Mulled Autumn Sangria

The Full Taste Of Fall

Posted on October 06, 2015
Mulled Autumn Sangria is a light and festive version of sangria that you should serve at your next fall party. Its scent reminds people of cool days, brightly colored leaves, and hot beverages in front of the fire. This punch-ish spiced wine drink is perfect for gatherings and definitely gives a big impact when presented.

Apple Cider Spareribs

Apple Cider Spareribs

With Sticky Cider BBQ Sauce

Posted on July 02, 2015
Apple Cider Spareribs are perfect for the 4th of July, which also happens to be National Sparerib Day. These babies are sticky, and boozy, they're shiny, and snackable too. I really enjoyed eating these ribs. They're pre cut for you so, there's none of that knife play that you usually have with a big 'ol rack of back ribs (not that I'm complaining about ribs at all...ever). This recipe came about when I realized that the smoker was out of order for the weekend. We went to the LCBO (liquor store) for a bottle of Kraken. I saw the cider and was hit in the back of the head with the shovel of inspiration. Why not braise the ribs with some of the cider, and make a sauce out of the rest? Don't forget to leave a little to drink with the ribs too.
