Posted on September 05, 2017

Originally posted in January of 2012, this recipe for Thai Peanut Grilled Shrimp was made as a treat for someone who loves shrimp. The bright veggies, marinated shrimp, and tangy peanut sauce come together for a delicious meal that pleases the seafood fanatic, and the Asian food aficionado. You would definitely find something like this at popular takeout restaurants, but it’s super easy to make at home too. Just start by firing up the grill.

Grill Baked Pierogies

Grill Baked Pierogies

with Lamb and Vodka Cream Sauce

Posted on October 12, 2016
I have been itching to do this recipe for some time, however Grill Baked Pierogies with Lamb and Vodka Cream Sauce just never seemed to make it onto my weekly schedule of things to cook. Until now. My friend Jeffrey, gave me the base recipe and said that I should “go to town” with regards to meat and sauce choices. When I brought him the leftovers he polished them off with delight, saying that I had made them even better than he usually does. This from the man who made this pierogie recipe into an art form. I recommend eating this meal on your cheat day because, trust me, you’re going to want to eat a lot of it.

Roast Chicken

Roast Chicken

Injected with Sweet Chili & Butter

Posted on October 05, 2016
Roast chicken is an easy way to prepare a family dinner to celebrate a major event like Thanksgiving. It’s also a more economic option to buying a whole roasting turkey which can get a little expensive. Roast Chicken Injected with Sweet Chili & Butter came about when I wanted to do something a little different with my side dish, Roasted Acorn Squash with Chili and Masala. The cinnamon, nutmeg, and cumin blended beautifully, pairing well with the heat from the roasted squash. The sweet chili and butter injection kept the meat ridiculously succulent.

Bison Burgers

Bison Burgers

with Garlic & Feta

Posted on August 30, 2016
Hamburgers don’t have to be exclusively made with beef. These Bison Burgers with Garlic & Feta are definite proof of that. Bison is a little leaner than beef and pork, but the flavor is incredible. Accent that with some fresh garlic, and salty feta cheese for an incredible burger. A local butcher should be able to help you get your hands on Bison meat for this recipe, but you can also try your local farmer’s market.

Toasted Turkey Sandwich

Toasted Turkey Sandwich

on COBS Bread Cape Seed Loaf

Posted on August 05, 2016
When you get your hands on special ingredients, like COBS Bread’s Cape Seed Loaf, you need to turn it into something truly spectacular. This Toasted Turkey Sandwich took your typical sandwich, and turned it into a work of art. Imagine biting into a lightly toasted sandwich, the crisp outer layer of bread, infused with smokiness from the grill, gives way to the moist and hearty insides of a sesame seed crusted loaf.  This whole grain bread is one that you could enjoy in its own right with maybe a little butter. I took it and toasted it, added some fresh mozzarella, and turned it into a Panini with some leftover roasted turkey, which I grilled to heat it up. It was hot turkey sandwich heaven people!
