Sous Vide Chicken

Finished on the Napoleon Himalayan Salt Platter

As Napoleon’s in-house Grilling-Gal, I have the immense pleasure of testing out new accessories like the Himalayan Salt Platter Set. This Sous Vide Chicken Finished on the Napoleon Himalayan Salt Platter was just exquisite. Himalayan Salt is high in minerals and imparts a lightly salty flavor to whatever you cook on it. You won’t need to add salt.

Smoked Honey

Smoked Honey

What all the buzz is about

Posted on September 08, 2016
Smoked Honey is great for adding that smoky flavor to barbecue sauce and glazing hams or ribs. Smoked honey is far better than using, *shudder*, liquid smoke to create that lovely smoky taste you want. Thyme and Feta Lamburgers with Avocado Aioli

on COBS Bread Gourmet Hamburger Buns

Posted on June 15, 2016

Thyme and Feta Lamburgers with Avocado Aioli on COBS Bread Gourmet Hamburger Buns are delicious, with a small kick that is mellowed out by the creamy and cooling aioli. They’re a different meal in a familiar package. Even my picky husband admitted that these were some mighty fine burgers.

Gourmet Steak Pizza

Gourmet Steak Pizza

on Cheese, Herb & Garlic Mini Focaccia

Posted on June 15, 2016
If you’re creative enough just about anything can become pizza. Gourmet Steak Pizza on Cheese, Herb & Garlic Mini Focaccia proves that. I used very fresh ingredients for this recipe, and you can taste the difference. The tomatoes served as the sauce instead of using a traditional tomato sauce. I did this because I didn’t want to top the cheesy goodness of the fresh herbed focaccia with anything that would mask its delicious flavor. Instead, I enhanced the delicate herb and cheese flavor by adding succulent steak slices and red onion.

Grilled Chili Cheese Dogs

Grilled Chili Cheese Dogs

on COBS Bread Gourmet Hot Dog Buns

Posted on June 15, 2016
Chili cheese dogs, like Sloppy Joes, have never really held much interest to me in the culinary sense of things. They just seemed messy, which generally doesn’t bug me. (Just look at my Eggs Benedict Burgers) However, when you’re presented with an opportunity to work with a fantastic ingredient like COBS Bread’s Gourmet Hot Dog Buns, you have to create something brilliant! Grilled Chili Cheese Dogs on COBS Bread Gourmet Hot Dog Buns seemed like the perfect way to utilize their delicious Gourmet Hot Dog Buns, and I may have even found a way of making this meal slightly healthier.

Grilled French Toast

Grilled French Toast

with Cinnamon Sugar Walnuts

Posted on June 08, 2016
Grilled French Toast with Cinnamon Sugar Walnuts is the perfect weekend breakfast. Using a sturdy loaf of Italian Style Bread, like COBS Bread Pane di Casa, is ideal. The thin, yet crispy crust holding the fluffiest bread imaginable is superb for grilling directly on your cooking grids. The resulting slightly smoky, sweet, bread-pudding-like texture is what French toast is all about. I added some Cinnamon Sugar Walnuts and then yelled, “Bring on the Maple Syrup”!

Sure, you could assemble all the parts that make up a complete breakfast separately. Or you can eat a complete breakfast with one of these Super Sausage Breakfast Burgers on COBS Bread Ciabatta Rolls! If you want to get grilling right away when you wake up, I recommend making the patties the night before so that they’re ready to go as soon as the chef has had a coffee and the grill is up to temperature.

BLT with Egg

BLT with Egg

on a COBS Bread Sourdough Roll

Posted on June 08, 2016
The BLT is made better with an egg and perfected when put on a COBS Bread Sourdough Roll. I know what you’re thinking. You are thinking that they’re just rolls, you eat them with butter at supper. I’m sorry; I can’t do that. It would be sacrilicious. I mean, yeah, they’re good as dinner rolls to accompany some sort of grilled delight, but why stop there? Why not worship a little roll of the best bread flavor – sourdough is a flavor right? – by making these buns of heavenly deliciousness into a breakfast that would top all of the top ten sandwich lists.
