Smoked Turkey Thighs

Smoked Turkey Thighs

with Club House La Grille Smokehouse Maple Rub

Posted on July 06, 2016
Sometimes you just bump into a recipe without realizing it. I was doing a smoke which takes most of a day, so I always make sure to get as much out of my Apollo as I can when using it. I was mainly smoking up ribs for a family dinner but I had a few other bits and bobs I wanted to smoke as well. While gathering the ingredients for this flavor adventure, I stumbled upon turkey thighs. I had seen breasts in the market before, legs too, but never just the thigh. So I went for them, remembering the giant smoked turkey legs at Disney World with fondness. I wanted to recapture the feeling, and that is how Smoked Turkey Thighs with Club House La Grille Smokehouse Maple Rub came to be.

Smokehouse Maple Salmon

Smokehouse Maple Salmon

On The Grill

Posted on April 07, 2016
Using the McCormick spices, especially the La Grille series, makes grilling and meal creation super easy. This particular recipe for Smokehouse Maple Salmon is so fast and easy, you will hardly believe that you made something so deliciously gourmet tasting! We wanted an easy and fast dinner, and after indulging quite a bit recently, I wanted something a little lighter. The sweet sauce caramelized on the salmon; which we served on some sticky rice with a light cucumber salad, the perfect light meal.

Maple Garlic Sausage Meatballs

Maple Garlic Sausage Meatballs

Fast, easy, and awesome

Posted on July 14, 2015
After making the Sausage Stuffed Pork Chops, I had extra ground pork left, so I decided to make some Maple Garlic Sausage Meatballs. The husband loves taking meatballs with BBQ sauce to work for a fast and easy lunch, so making some homemade ones seemed like the next logical step. These meatballs have of all of the flavor, a bit of sweet, garlic and finished off with a swift kick in the tongue with spice. Try these to jazz up your next meatball sub, or skewer them with your favorite veggies for kebab night. Any way you eat them, you will have good times.

Ted Reader's Barbecued Back Ribs With Maple Bacon Barbecue Sauce are seriously the best ribs ever. I am hard pressed to make anything but these when I make ribs. Obviously I make ribs a lot, so figure that I make these Barbecued Back Ribs With Maple Bacon Barbecue Sauce every other time I make ribs. Yeah. That sounds about right. These ribs ARE that good!

Salted Maple Pecan Bars

Salted Maple Pecan Bars

Smoked On The Grill

Posted on September 24, 2014

As a going away-have to celebrate-birthday-need dessert for this event thing, I found a recipe for Salted Maple Pecan Bars. I just had to put a grill-spin on it. Okay, so there were five and a half of us (one guy had one piece and disappeared somewhere) and we demolished the 9 x 13-inch tray that I made. These were so good that I had to make them again two days later. So good that when asked for seconds from someone, I lied and said that they were all gone. Yeah. THAT kind of good.

Grilled Back Bacon on a Bun

Grilled Back Bacon on a Bun

with Maple Beer BBQ Sauce

Posted on June 27, 2011
I was at the Tragically Hip concert in Bobcaygeon on Saturday. What a great show! The weather was not the greatest, but the food! OH the FOOD!  So much to choose from, and all of it great! One of the best things there was the back bacon on a bun. Usually I would slap an egg and some cheese with back bacon, or at least some hollandaise sauce, but this was some sort of barbecue sauced grilled heaven. I was bound and determined to find a recipe for it when I got home, and slept for most of the next day.
