That’s where my idea for Meatball Subs on Gourmet Hot Dog Buns by COBS Bread comes in. Using ground brisket instead of typical ground beef, this recipe is elevated to the next level of deliciousness and into the realm of gourmet.

When you find yourself in possession of high quality buns, like COBS Bread Gourmet Hamburger Buns, you need to grill something worthy of being placed upon them. While brisket is generally thought of as a smoked and tender slab of meat with perfect bark, and definitely not a hamburger. However that is not the case today. Today I decided to take a chance on this notorious cut of meat and and create an incredibly flavorful burger, worthy of the bun it rests upon. Double Decker Brisket Burgers on a COBS Bread Gourmet Hamburger Bun was delicious and filling, unbelievably meaty, worthy of the title "Burger".

I've mostly successfully done a smoked brisket and it was amazing. But I wanted to do a brisket that would make a Texan proud (or at least I hope they'd be proud). So instead of smoking, this time I opted to make a Foil Roasted Brisket in honor of National Brisket Day on May 28th.

May 28th is National Hamburger Day. It's also National Brisket Day. Though I think we should just call it what it really is - National Holy-Cow-Beef-Is-Delicious Day. What do you think? Anyway, I had loads of leftover Foil Roasted Brisket and I just had to make Brisket Burgers With Broccoli and Brussels Sprouts Slaw with them. These burgers are stuffed with chunks of Havarti cheese and chopped brisket, and topped with even more brisket. I made this super crazy cole slaw, but used broccoli and Brussels Sprouts instead of traditional cabbage, then I put the slaw on top of everything. Trust me you won't even need ketchup!
