Toasted Turkey Sandwich

Toasted Turkey Sandwich

on COBS Bread Cape Seed Loaf

Posted on August 05, 2016
When you get your hands on special ingredients, like COBS Bread’s Cape Seed Loaf, you need to turn it into something truly spectacular. This Toasted Turkey Sandwich took your typical sandwich, and turned it into a work of art. Imagine biting into a lightly toasted sandwich, the crisp outer layer of bread, infused with smokiness from the grill, gives way to the moist and hearty insides of a sesame seed crusted loaf.  This whole grain bread is one that you could enjoy in its own right with maybe a little butter. I took it and toasted it, added some fresh mozzarella, and turned it into a Panini with some leftover roasted turkey, which I grilled to heat it up. It was hot turkey sandwich heaven people!

Hassleback Style Garlic Bread

Hassleback Style Garlic Bread

On COBS Bread Sunflower Flax Sourdough

Posted on July 27, 2016
There is nothing better than a loaf of fresh bread. Well…. Okay garlic bread made from a loaf of fresh bread could tie for the top spot of nothing-better-ness. That’s why I made Hassleback Style Garlic Bread On COBS Bread Sunflower Flax Sourdough. The bread was super fresh and smelled soooo good! It was all I could do not to go all “my precious” on it. I did wind up sharing the bread with other people at dinner, much to my chagrin. Though, they did enjoy it, so I guess that makes up for having to share.

Sure, you could assemble all the parts that make up a complete breakfast separately. Or you can eat a complete breakfast with one of these Super Sausage Breakfast Burgers on COBS Bread Ciabatta Rolls! If you want to get grilling right away when you wake up, I recommend making the patties the night before so that they’re ready to go as soon as the chef has had a coffee and the grill is up to temperature.
