This jerky was incredible. I have gone from someone who was turned off by the mere sight of this dried meat substance, to someone who very much enjoys jerky. Only thing about this recipe is that I find it a tad on the expensive side. Eye of round is a reasonably expensive cut of meat. For ours, it was $20.00. If that doesn’t bug you, then this is the recipe for you. I guess time could be a cost prohibitive thing as well, but if you use the smoker at the cottage when you have nothing doing but a dip in the lake and a good book, or beer and buddys are a good idea. It’s definitely worth the time and money for this beef. Oh yeah, and if you have buddys there… the jerky will be gone as soon as it’s cool enough to eat. So be sure to squirel some away for later!
